The Tour
Historic Post Office of Deseronto
Our tour starts in Deseronto, a town that was once a hive of industry with a thriving waterfront sawmill and cannery. We take a coffee break en route before heading to the Chapel Royal beside the Bay of Quinte where we will be addressed by a brother of the Mohawk chief.
Belleville City Hall
We will see historical points of interest along the Bay of Quinte before having lunch in the center of Belleville at historic Dinkel’s Restaurant where we will we be greeted by Mayor Ellis.
Historic Glanmore House
In the afternoon we will tour Belleville’s splendid Glanmore House, National Historic Site. Port Hope’s Rod and Masumi Stewart, who created the magnificent ceilings in this building, will talk to us about their work there.
We hope to add a few more gems to complete our tour.
