The Port Hope Branch owns The Little Station, one of the first railway stations in the Municipality of Port Hope, and leases and operates the Union Cemetery Chapel and Caretaker’s Cottage from the Municipality of Port Hope. Over the years, the Port Hope Branch has been involved with other partners in the restoration of the historic Port Hope Grand Trunk railway station, which is now used by VIA Rail.
In 2018 ACO Port Hope financed and organized The Little Station’s latest move to a concrete foundation facing Lent’s Lane, beside Memorial Park that is the former raised rail bed of the Midland Railway. The Little Station has become a public space for Critical Mass, a centre for contemporary art and innovative not-for-profit community arts organizations.
