Join us this season as we show off our decorated tree at The Capitol Theatre’s Festival of Lights & Trees, November 26 – December 15, 2022.
ACO Port Hope and Heather Burnet of Antiques & Artifacts have created a magical Teatime Story-Time Christmas tree, decorated in historic china cups and saucers.
Heather Burnet had the idea to have people donate their old teacups and saucers, and provide the story behind the china. Who used the china? How was it special? Heather carefully collected all of the china, as well as the history for each set. She compiled all the stories into a wonderful document filled with personal anecdotes about each cup and saucer.
The Port Hope House Tour has donated a House Tour ticket to the tree, providing even more stories of times gone by!
How to Find Our Tree
At the Capitol Theatre, go up the stairs to the Sculthorpe Room. As you enter, the our tree is against the wall on the left side of the room. You can put your tickets into the raffle box for this magical tree up until December 15th at the Capitol Christmas.
Don’t miss out on this hidden gem of a tree!!!
